Academics

The academics divided into three types of schools .The Senior School, Junior School and the School of Investigation. The senior school is entrusted the responsibility of providing standard education /training to the officers who come in college for in service promotional and specialized course.

Senior School

The senior school is headed by an experienced chief law instructor who is an officer of DSP rank. The school is aimed in providing quality education The focus is on moral values, character building, knowledge of life, human rights, attitudinal change, stress and anger management, geo fencing, forensic aids and general laws.

The senior school runs Advance class course, Upper class course, Upper (Traffic Management course), Specialized Investigation course, Specialized Operation course, Specialized Intelligence course, Dolphin squad course, Ministerial Staff capacity building course, Senior station assistance, Police station assistance course and Anti- Corruption class course. Some of the following short term courses are also managed by this school with the help of different organizations and NGOs.

Training of trainers (TOT), First Responder course, Interview and Interrogation course, public media relation course, Attitudinal change course, community policing course, explosive Response Training course, Case Management course, Human Rights and dignity course, Crime Scene Management course, Basic forensic course are also manage and run perfectly by senior school branch.

The senior school is headed by Chief Law Instructor DSP Khalid Saeed Khan. He is an extra ordinary experienced and skilled police officer. He has done his MSC in Physics and Criminology. He has honored to serve in United Nation Peace keeping mission abroad and various police stations of Capital City Lahore. His knowledge and skill is only to bring positive change in trainees. Junior School

Junior Section of Police Training College Lahore was established in January, 2015. Junior School is headed by an Independent Chief Law Instructor, an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. Chief Law Instructor is responsible for the implementation and realization of the training policy and all the other directions from the Commandant in letter and spirit. Junior/Probationer courses like Basic Recruit Class Course, Lower Class Course, Intermediate Class Course and Probationer Courses of different ranks of Police are conducted in Junior School. 06 Core values of the Institution, i.e. Hard Work, Discipline, Good Moral, Modern Training, Leadership and Public Service, are also taught to all the courses. Along with teaching the concerned academic and practical subjects, special attention is paid to the character building of all the trainees. For this purpose, Guest Speakers from different fields of life are invited for motivational lectures based on moral values. All the trainers and the trainees follow the approved Code of Conduct of the institution

Lectures are delivered by two kinds of the faculty, permanent faculty and visiting faculty. Highly educated and expert in this fields are invited to deliver their lectures. Moreover the permanent staff of the school is also highly qualified and expected. The faculty is devoted to impart training of international level.

Nasir Mehmood Malik, DSP Presently serving as CLI of Junior School. He has Master Degrees in English and Urdu. He has vast experience of field policing as well as Training. He also served in un peace keeping mission in Sudan. He has a special aptitude to training and this has become his passion (Team Pic)

School of Investigation

Punjab Police School of investigation is recently established in this college to cater for the needs of heinous and sensitive crime investigation. This school will be a mile stone to enhance professional competence of investigation officers particularly develops their hand on skills pertaining to collection of Forensic and digital evidence. The training of this school aims to achieve proficiency standard to solve heinous and sensitize crime. It will also develop supervisory capacity of senior officers.This training cantains crime scene investigations. Evidence collections and the use of belastics & forensice evidences. Mock Excercise of  court  procedings also included in the investigation courses.

Examination Branch

Inspector Muhammad Kashif Dogar is highly calcified police officer. who has done his M.Sc degree in criminology. He has dual responsibility to serve as PSO to Commandant and in charge of the examination branch as well.

Rescue Operation

All the trainees of Advance, Upper and Intermediate shall be imparted theoretical and practical training of First Aid and Rescue Operations. With the passage of time, Police College Lahore (PCL) has emerged as a modern and a well equipped training institution, imparting quality professional training to the trainees. Police Officers from all over Pakistan, including Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, KPK, Sindh and A.J.K are getting regular training here, besides police officers belonging to other Police Establishments like Pakistan Railways, Pakistan National Highways & Motorways Police and Islamabad Capital Territory. The Officers from Govt/ Semi Govt/autonomous bodies like FIA, ANF, Anti Corruption Establishment, Forest & Wildlife Department, Prisons Department, Lahore Transport Company, DHA, Punjab University and other Law Enforcing Agencies have also received training at PCL.
